All of our teachers are highly skilled, loving, fun & silly musicians and parents, who are passionate about music and who look forward to making music with you and your children!

They each create a fun, informal, social setting that inspires interest and supports each child's musical development.

is the Director and a registered Music Together® Instructor, who has been a part of the Music Together world for the past 16 years !! She was thrilled and honored to take over the Director's position for Music Together Of Staten Island back in Spring of 2018 !!. Kelly started as a mother in the program but soon realized she felt a deep connection to the class and to her teacher Janet, and she just knew this was something she needed to be a part of. Kelly has now been teaching in our community for over 15 years and absolutely loves that this is what is considered her "job". Kelly studied Early Childhood Education in college and worked as a children's photographer for 10 years prior to attending MT with her two sons. She is happy she is able to juggle her "Dance Life" schedule along with her many other hats as a mom and her boy's activities to always bring her best to all her classes.

is a native Staten Islander; Registered Music Together Instructor & has served as the Director of Music Together of Staten Island, which she began in 1995, for 23 years! Janet holds a B.A. in Vocal Music and Dance and was a professional jazz vocalist, as well as a music/movement specialist in NYC public schools for 11 years. She is the mom of two professional musicians and one competitive collegiate figure skater, as well as the Grandmom of two talented Music Together alumni. 

Janet is excited to "semi-retire" from teaching and to pass the administrative torch to Kelly, while still stopping in to make Guest Appearances from time to time.

is a registered Music Together teacher since 2014. Matthew is a drummer/percussionist in the NY/NJ area, and holds a BA in Music from Kean University, and a MA in Music Education from Hunter College. Matthew has performed with notable groups such as GOOD NOISE, the Staten Island Philharmonic, the Giglio Band, and many more. Matthew has a significant amount of experience with the developmental disability population. For 6 years, Matthew served numerous roles for On Your Mark, a non-profit dedicated to serving people with developmental disabilities, including running a music program for adults. Currently, Matthew serves as the music teacher at PS52 on Staten Island, teaching PreK-5 music lessons for over 500 students, including band, chorus, recorder , and general music. Matthew is excited to teach music to his students during the week at PS52, and on the weekends here at Music Together :)

is a Registered Music Together instructor, as well as the music specialist at Building Blocks Montessori school, where she creates and oversees their two annual, multi-grade music festivals, incorporating music from many countries, cultures and languages!  Norma has been singing as a soloist and in choirs since she was a child and has a degree in Business Administration.  After working in Hotel Communications and as Manager of a busy NYC office, she decided to leave the stresses of the business world behind and in her words, "look for something more noble...like teaching children!!" We are so happy to have Norma on staff since spring of 2012. Her Monday morning and evening "P.J.s" classes are a loving little community of musical "Miss Norma" fans!

is our NEWEST registered music together teacher on staff but has been licensed and teaching since 2012. She first began singing and performing as a child as her love of music has always been a constant drive in her life from singing to songwriting. As a performer her credits include show appearances on MTV, the Brooklyn public access channel, independent record labels, music festivals, and salsa congresses. Desiree’s educational credits include a Bachelor's Degree of Arts with a major in Theater and a minor in Music. She also received a Masters in the Sciences for early childhood and special needs education for students with disabilities from Birth- Grades 2. She then began teaching music at P.S. 172 the Magnet School of Leadership in Brooklyn and also co-directed their community musical productions. Desiree then went on to teaching Music Together from Brooklyn to New Jersey and now we are happy to have her finally land here on Staten Island with us at our school. 

We are not only thrilled to have her join our staff, but as a mother of two musical children herself she will also be participating as a family beginning this Fall 2019.

Is a registered Music Together instructor - and we are so lucky to have her!!  Liz received a Bachelor of Music degree with performance honors from Syracuse University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Columbia Teacher’s College. She is a classically trained singer, but her true loves are jazz and musical theater. Her one-woman cabaret show, "Sneasons of Liz" was performed in Hong Kong, London, the Prague Fringe Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Midtown Theater Festival in New York City. Elizabeth was working as a primary/secondary music teacher in the international school system for fifteen years and is now happily residing back home in Staten Island. Currently, she is working as a middle school choral teacher at The Dalton School and she treasures spending time with her husband Daniel, daughter Aurelia and brand new baby, Chloe <3

Theresa is so excited to join our staff having just "graduated" from Music Together Mom to Registered Music Together Instructor! She is a graduate of Wagner College where she earned a B.A. in English and also studied Music, Theatre, and Education, she worked for over 15 years in theatre and television, toured internationally, and performed in 49 of the 50 states. Theresa manages to be a full-time Mom to her shark-loving son, Theo ( a Music Together alumnus), and a part-time sounding board for her television writer husband, John.

has been a registered Music Together teacher since 2001. She is the mom of 2 beautiful girls -- Lucy and Molly -- who have both been Music Together students since before they were born!; Lee holds degrees in Musical Theatre, Childhood Education, and Gifted Education, and is a Kindergarten teacher in her "spare time." She also acts and choreographs at local schools and theatres. Although Lee is no longer on the regular schedule, you may find her subbing for one of us in a pinch!
